Lucknow : The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) headed by Mayawati Chief minister of Uttar Pradesh swept the 31 out of 33 seats in election for UP Vidhan Parishad polls.
Congress and Samajwadi Party have managed single seat each while BJP failed to open account.That was yet another blow to Samajwadi Party as it lost 22 seats which it won in the 2003 elections while BJP lost all of 6 seats.
BSP has a clear majority in Uttar Pradesh Vidhan Parishad as it has 54 out of 100 members. Still results for Bulandshahr, Aligarh and Meerut will be declared on Thursday.
