Srinagar: CBI has ruled out the rape and murder in the Shopian murder case, saying that the story of rape and murder was fabricated and concluded the reason for death of two woman of drowning.
The CBI informed the Jammu and Kashmir High Court today. The report revealed that the bodies of victims Neelofar and her sister in law Aasiya found no marks of violence.
CBI did not find anything to suggest that four police officials including the then Deputy Superintendent of Police Rohit Basgotra, SHO Shafiq Ahmed, Sub Inspector Gazi Karim and Superintendent of Police Javed Iqbal Mattoo, were involved in the crime.
