Chidambaram rejects GUJCOC, says no need for separate law

New Delhi: Gujarat’s anti-terror bill, GUJCOC (Gujarat Control of Organised Crime) bill was rejected by Union Home Minister, P Chidambaram citing no need for different law for terrorism.

Speaking in the meeting held in New Delhi on Internal Security, Home minister denied separate laws for State on terrorism, he also refused to use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) to fight against Maoists while talking tough on Maoists

Gujarat’s Chief minister Narendra Modi appreciated Chidambaram and Home Secretary GK Pillai for their efforts against terrorism in the country
