Hyderabad: E.S.L. Narasimhan, Governor of Chhattisgarh taken additional charge of Andhra Pradesh following the resignation of Narayan Dutt Tiwari.
Chief Justice of Andhra Pradesh High Court A.R. Dave administered the oath of office to E.S.L. Narasimhan in the simple ceremony at Raj Bhavan.
Chief Minister K. Rosaiah with his cabinet colleagues, Chief Secretary Ramakanth Reddy, leaders of various parties attended the ceremony.
N.D. Tiwari resigns after the ABN TV aired the explicit clips for few hours showing Tiwari with three women in his bedroom at Raj Bhavan. Later Tiwari denied the allegation.
He is taking charge when the situation in Andhra Pradesh is embroiled over separated Telangana State. The central government felt that as a former IPS officer of Andhra Pradesh cadre, his services would be useful in dealing with the agitation.
