Kathmandu : The former Nepalese Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala died in Kathmandu. He was 86.
Mr Koirala was prime minister for four terms with the Nepali Congress Party and he led protests against King Gyanendra’s and that brought down his authoritarian rule.
Thousands of his party members and supporters gathered outside his daughter’s house where he was taken after being in hospital for several days.
