Mumbai: Nominated in the category of ‘Best Foreign Language Film’, the Indian movie “Harishchandrachi Factory” was out of the Oscars race.
The film was co-produced by Mayasabha productions and Paparika Media, starred by Vibhawari Deshpande and Nandu Madhav. It was the second Marathi movie after “Shwaas” nominated for Oscar award.
Nine films were selected for final race-”The Milk of Sorrow” (Peru), “Winter in Wartime” (The Netherlands), “Kelin” (Kazakhstan), “Ajami” (Israel), “The White Ribbon” (Germany), “Un Prophete” (France), “The World Is Big and Salvation Lurks around the Corner” (Bulgaria), “Samson & Delilah” (Australia) and “El Secreto de Sus Ojos” (Argentina).
