Mumbai: India moved to the top of the test rankings beating Sri Lanka in the Mumbai test match by an innings and 24 runs on Sunday, won the series 2-0 and became the No. 1 team in the ICC Test Rankings.
Dominant performance of India across the three-test series, Ahmedabad test match was ended in draw while Kanpur and Mumbai test matches were won by India.
Earlier Sri Lanka resumed from the score of 274/6, Sri Lanka bowled out for 309 runs. Sri Lanka lost Skipper Sangakkara early, he scored 137 runs. Zaheer Khan bowled splendidly, he got three wickets out of four wickets early this morning. Pragyan Ojha and Harbhajan Singh took 2 wickets each while Zaheer Khan took 5 wickets. Virendra Sehwag was declared Man of the match and man of the series.
