Kanpur: India beat Sri Lanka in the second test match played at Green Park in Kanpur. India is now 1-0 in the three match test series. In an dashing victory, India won this match by an innings and 144 runs. The first match was ended in draw at Ahmedabad.

S Sreesanth’s come back proved to lucky for Indian’s, he was declared man of the match. Earlier Sri Lanka resumed from  their score of 57/4 but they bowled out for 269 runs. S. Sreesanth took 5 wickets, Pragyan Ojha took 2 wickets while  Harbhajan clinch 3 wickets.

For Sri Lanka Ajantha Mendia (27), Muttiah Muralitharan (29) and Thilan Samaraweera with 78 runs, was the top scorer for Sri Lanka.
