Louis Oosthuizen Takes Lead At 2010 British Open

Norther Irishman Rory McIlroy may have tied a championship record of 63 on Thursday but, Louis Oosthuizen took the lead when he turned in a 5-under 67 for a total of 12-under 132 on Friday.

The weather was still an issue in St. Andrews. It was clear blue skies when the sun rose but turned gray a little soon after. High winds and Rain rolled to the old course forcing the game to postpone. The players were able to see the sun for a while before the raid poured again just before noon.

The game was postponed after 9:38am due to the winds but resumed at 10:45am.“I’m very confident with the way I’m playing,” Oosthuizen said. “It’s probably the position anyone wants to be in playing a major on the weekend, and I think it’s what we work to achieve, and I’m just very happy with the two rounds I put together.”
