Macclesfield manager Keith Alexander has died. He was 53. Alexander was found at his home on Wednesday. He recently took time off due to illness.

“Everyone has been shocked and saddened by the sad passing of the Macclesfield Town manager Keith Alexander.

“Keith was a real football guy and will be sorely missed by everyone within the game.

“It is a sad day for football and our condolences go out to the family and friends of Keith and everyone associated with Macclesfield Town football club.”
