Lucknow: Raj Babbar a congress candidate from the Firozabad Lok Sabha seat won the by-polls. He defeated Samajwadi Party (SP) candidate Dimple Yadav by over 85,000 votes. This seat of Firozabad by-poll was a battle of pride for both congress and Samajwadi party.

Congress is emerging as an single largest party after BSP in Utter Pradesh while graph of BJP and Smajwadi party is declining continuously in U.P.

Sanay Dutt and Jaya prada were star campaigner for the Samajwadi party candidate Dimple Yadav, the daughter-in-law of Mulayam Singh Yadav while for Congress candidate Raj babbar film Star Govinda and Rahul Gandhi were the star campaigner.
