U.S. Seeks to End 50-Year Olympic Hockey Drought Against Canada

The Americans are looking to beat Canada in men’s Olympic hockey competition in one of three preliminary-round games at the Vancouver Winter Olympics today. The match between U.S.-Canada scheduled for 4:40 p.m. local time.

It was last 50 years ago when US beat Canada in men’s Olympic hockey competition. US and Canada faced each other 15 times in Olympics, Canada defeated US 10 times and tying in three. Last US team’s victory came in 1960 in Squaw Valley, California.
