The USA fought back from a 0-2 deficit to draw the match against Slovenia 2-2. Slovenia still lead the points table in Group C ahead of the USA and England.

Valter Birsa put Slovenia ahead in the 13th minute, while Zlatan Ljubijankic scored the second goal in the 42nd minute.

The Americans fought back with the first goal in the 48th minute, when Landon Donovan made it to the Slovenian goal post. Michael Bradley scored the equalizer in the 82nd minute.

The USA have been playing well in the FIFA World Cup 2010. They held England to a 1-1 draw earlier. Slovenia had beaten Alegeria 1-0 in the opening game. If USA beat Algeria in the final game, they may have a chance to move to the second round
